AVG Anti-Virus
Computer viruses are everywhere, and I'm sure you've had a few. An anti-virus program is a must for every computer user, especially those that like to browse the internet. We recommend a program called AVG Anti-virus. There is a free edition available from their website that will allow you to use the program and receive updates for free for personal use.
There are a few other popular anti-virus software packages available, most notably Norton Anti-Virus and McAfee Anti-virus. In our experience AVG had the best system stability, meaning you will have less problems with AVG. Plus it's free!
How-to Guide for Anti-Virus: Simple Steps
- Download the anti-virus program.
- Open the program and follow the wizard to install it.
- Once installed, right click on the AVG icon in the bottom-right corner of your screen, and select "Run AVG Anti-Virus," as shown here.
- Select "Run Complete Test," as shown here.
- AVG will now scan for viruses. Follow the prompt and choose heal or remove if any viruses are found. That's it!
